“Hope”
"Where flowers bloom so does HOPE" - Lady Bird Johnson.
This painting draws attention to the enormous human trafficking problem. Its simbolism: • The little girl speaks of innocence and trust. • The butterfly calls to mind new life and innocence. • The red poppies are flowers of remembrance for those lost. • Flowers fading into the distance are people lost to trafficking (particularly children and young people). • The little girl clutching the two poppies - hold on to each other and always be mindful of the danger. • Tangled undergrowth - trafficking is a huge problem with so many facets that are so difficult to unravel.
